Links and FAQs
Mainly, this site is about describing Depersonalisation Derealisation Disorder and consequences of it, to show that it should be better recognised and for others perhaps suffering DPRD.
Individual experiences of DPRD will vary, as will a person's response to getting it. So paths towards recovery can be about finding what works for you, with the best strategies and treatment. The great and estimable goal is to emerge from the contradictory, deadened morass of DPRD into the wondrously clear world that you know is still there, and to do so despite the 'protective' aspect of depersonalisation. I dismantle DPRD’s obstructive adaptations and destructive protection. After unreal years, I prepare for startling awareness, with my disowned body and acuities reclaimed. If sometimes defeated, I still know who I am without this under-recognised disorder.
